Natural Environment: Protection Through Food

from:

To protect the natural environment, many people are looking for ways to change their lifestyle to better suit their goals for a healthy, environmentally sound type of living. One way to do this is actually through your food. The food you eat does not have to be limited, and you do not have to give up all of your favorites. Yet, if you make a few significant changes, you may find yourself in a better position for healthy living without it hurting the natural environment. Many people are working towards making simple changes with these drastic improvements.

To improve the natural environment, look at the way you are currently consuming food. Are you doing everything you can to improve the quality of food you take in but also taking into consideration the natural environment? Here are some tips that may help you.

• Buy organic food as often as possible. Organic food does not contain the harmful pesticides and chemicals used to treat the plants. Not only does your body benefit from not having these additives added to it, but the planet also benefits. Many of these chemicals run off into the soil and water, causing toxic results. In addition, they are not good for the ozone.
• Buy local foods as often as possible. Locally grown foods do not require heavy trucking, which means that it is easier to get food that is cheaper, too. For example, if you buy from your larger grocery stores, truckers likely bring in that food from hundreds of miles away. As they truck it, the effect the natural environment with toxic fumes and they are using much more oil and gas to do so. On the other hand, local foods are cheaper because of the lower costs of these movements.
• Reduce and reuse as much as you can. Many people not only buy foods that are hurting ht environment, but also waste them. Try to purchase only what you really need and prepare only what will be eaten. This will reduce the amount of waste and will reduce the amount of money you spend. In addition, use scraps from produce to fertilize your garden or add to plants otherwise as a natural source of nutrients.

The natural environment can be protected through many means and food use is one of them. Be active in your local community to let others know about the options they have for buying local foods and how they can avoid the costly mistakes of waste. When this happens, more people will be able to make a difference.

Humans Fit All Of The Government Criteria For 'Endangered Species'

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service ("FWS") is the federal agency in charge of "listing" most species under the Endangered Species Act ("ESA"). Mobile – Facebook And Google Can’t Live With It And They Can’t Live Without It

This week Facebook did a virtually unprecedented thing. In the middle of its IPO roadshow it modified its S1 filing in reaction to questions it had been being asked by analysts. The modification I refer to stated that Facebook wanted to acknowledge a trend; that trend is the declining ARPU (average revenue per user) being seen in its current quarter. This trend is being driven, Facebook said, by ...
